Implants

Dental Implants are used to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is a surgical fixture that is placed into the jawbone by an oral surgeon and allowed to fuse with the bone over the span of a few months. The dental implant acts as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. A crown is then placed on the dental implant which fills the void in your mouth where your tooth once was.

We work closely with a group of oral surgeons to help coordinate implants for our patients. The oral surgeon will place the implant and then we allow about 3 months for the implant to integrate with the bone in your jaw.

Once the implant has fully integrated you will see our office to have impressions (molds) of the implant space and surrounding teeth. We will send these molds to a lab where they will fabricate the crown for your implant. You will return to our office in 2-3 weeks to have the crown permanently inserted.

If you have any questions about implants please give our office a call and we would be happy to answer them for you.
